Showing how scientists are improving flowers to help feed the world

Challenge

The British Academy is the UK’s leading organisation representing research in the humanities and social sciences.

• It has multiple roles as a funder, convener, champion, supporter and educator.

• It represents a wide variety of different disciplines.

• That variety had to be represented in a short 60 second video that would work with and without audio to greet all visitors to the homepage of its new website.

How we helped

• We worked with two Cambridge University plant scientists - Hamish and Jake - to produce a playful video explaining their research.

• The video was short-listed for an award at the Bristol Science Film Festival.
